How is Abbotts' Construction Services Inc. different from its competitors?
Abbotts' has been in business for over 30 years. We are a family owned business, and we like to treat our customers the same way. We take you along with us every step of the way. From the initial site inspections, all the way to the very end of the building process.
Do you install seawalls?
Yes, we can install a new wall or replace an existing seawall. We also remove and replace seawall caps on existing walls if the seawall panels are in good condition.
Do you install/repair docks, and boatlifts?
Yes, Abbotts’ installs new docks as well as rebuilding or replacing existing docks, and we can repair your boat lift as long as the main structure of the lift is in good condition.
How long does the process take? (For septic's, docks, boatlifts, etc.)
While we unfortunately can't give the exact answer to that, we do keep in contact with you throughout the entire process. We email you twice a month to give you updates, and keep you informed with everything that is happening prior to the build
What is a Septic Inspection?
A septic inspection is a 5 step test. Our septic guy will open your tank, check, and measure the water level in the tank. He will add water to do a flow test, and pump the tank to see if the structure is sound.
How often should my tank be pumped, and when do I know it needs to be?
If you are experiencing backups there is always the possibility that your problem is not with the septic tank and could actually be a clog in your plumbing. If you’re not sure consider the last time your system was pumped, was it within the last 3 – 5 years, which is how often you should have your tank pumped. Also, have you been experiencing heavy rains? If our company discovers that your septic tank does not need to be pumped and that your problem is actually with the plumbing you will be charged a service fee rather than the full amount you were quoted.
Are there any kind of systems that your company doesn't service?
We don't service ATU systems.
Do you do grease traps?
Yes, while we do not pump grease traps, we do install them.
What kind of septic tanks do you install?
The septic tanks that we most frequently work with is poly plastic.
What kind of site prep do you do?
We install culverts, land clearing, brush mowing, and grading
